"My story and our History" - among the world's innovation leaders!

The virtual storytelling platform "My and our History", created by the joint efforts of the Šiauliai "Aušros" Museum Photography Museum and the LIMIS Center team of the Lithuanian National Art Museum, won a significant evaluation - it entered the final stage of the World Summit Awards 2024 (WSA)!

The "My story and our History" platform gives everyone the opportunity to learn about their own, family or community history, share personal stories and create a collective memory. It is a tool that connects the past, present and future, promotes cultural dialogue and an innovative approach to the preservation of history.

The road to global recognition began in 2024 in June, when "My Story and our History" became the winner of the competition "Digital Bookseller" in Lithuania. The project won in the "Culture and Heritage" category and gained the opportunity to compete with nominees in this category from around the world.

What is special about this achievement?

Global recognition - out of the 500 innovative solutions that participated in the selection (from 63 countries around the world), the "My story and our History" platform stood out for its significant contribution to the cultivation of culture.
Further stages - together with the 133 best decisions, we entered the final jury evaluation, which will take place on January 16-18 th in Vienna, Austria. Winners will be invited to the WSA Alumni Network and Awards Ceremony in 2025 April  in Hyderabad, India.
