From December 3rd in Chaim Frenkel's villa-museum (Vilniaus St. 74, Šiauliai) the exhibition "ŠAM - 101: in the footsteps of the first collections" is on display. Manor cultural heritage", introducing the exceptional collection of manor cultural heritage accumulated in the "Aušros" museum and the circumstances of its entry into the museum.
The exhibition reviews the purposeful efforts of the museum in the interwar period to actualize the significance of the cultural heritage of the manors, presents the process of registration and protection of cultural values organized in the nationalized manors in 1940-1943, and the role of the "Aušra" museum in it.
The exhibition exhibits the cultural values of the manors from the collections of the Šiauliai "Aušros" museum, as well as exhibits brought specially for this exhibition from other memory institutions: from the keys of the Berženai manor to valuable 18th-19th century. artificial porcelain, paintings, sculptures, furniture. Some of these values are being presented to the public for the first time. The stylized reconstruction of the interior of the manor created in the exhibition reflects the 19th-20th centuries. The image of the manors of the Northern Lithuania region, the everyday life of the nobles of that time, their artistic taste and education, interest in the cultural innovations of Western Europe significantly complements the exposition in Chaim Frenkel's villa-museum "Provincial Manor and City in the 19th century. avg. - 20th century".
