in 2024 November - December The first three meetings with Šiauliai photographers will take place at the Museum of Photography. The archives of Šiauliai's "Aušros" museum branch - Museum of Photography store a lot of interesting shots, true capsules of the history of photography, pearls of photo art. These values will be presented to the public in conversations with authors during the events.

Algimantas Puodžiūnas
Algimantas Puodžiūnas was born in Šiauliai in 1944. He started actively photographing while working in the editorial office of a Šiauliai district newspaper in the mid-1960s. Worked as a literary worker, head of illustration and cultural life departments, newspaper layout designer.
After the Photo Club gathered in Šiauliai, A. Puodžiūnas became actively involved in the activities and became the chairman of the club. He prepared exhibitions, organized trips to exhibitions, events, creative camps of other photography clubs, was a prolific photographer himself, participated in exhibitions as an author. Several prominent cycles can be distinguished in the photographer's work: Šiauliai Drama Theater in the 1970s; Mardi Gras tradition in Kurtuvėnai; hunting history and traditions.
A. Puodžiūnas also paid a lot of attention to local history - he published books about the history and people of the Šiauliai region, and was declared an honorary local historian. During the period of revival, Algimantas Puodžiūnas got involved in the activities of the Lithuanian Persitvarkymos Sąjūdis and the Green Movement, and was elected to the Šiauliai District Municipal Council. For about two decades, he worked as a television journalist in the Šiauliai district show "Sodžius". Currently, he actively organizes his archives, organizes exhibitions, cooperates with memory institutions.

Vaidotas Kisielis
Vaidotas Kisielis is the former head of the Museum of Photography, a long-term employee of the Šiauliai "Aušros" museum.
The author's archive contains many moments of the life of the museum. The photographer actively recorded the events of the Revival period in Šiauliai. His series of photographs about the struggles of Lithuanian basketball players in the eighties of the last century attracted a lot of attention.

Povilas Steponavičius
Photographer Povilas Steponavičius was actively creating in the 6-7 decades of the last century. Many interesting photographic works that reflect the spirit of the times have survived in the archives. Interesting searches of the author in the field of artistic photography.
P. Steponavičius cooperated with Šiauliai "Aušros" museum throughout his life, thanks to him, a film projector from the interwar period with historical film tapes entered the museum's funds.
